@AliveToGod @jennifercamp #Religion #Devotional #Christianity #Motivational #Isaiah54:10

Verse:       Isaiah 54:10

‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

– Sometimes we pass through a season of shaking.
– It’s a time when things seem unsure or even hopeless.
– Even in this the Lord promises to continue being faithful to us.
– His ‘unfailing love’ and His ‘covenant of peace’ remain.

PRAYER: Lord, You hold my life in Your hands. You know my heart and You call me by name. You undertake to always be faithful and compassionate towards me. Amen.

Sharon sez:

These words will carry me through today. For some of you in the know (I have not shared the past month’s battle with all my blogging friends), today is D-day for me. After numerous tests I will get my final biopsy-results this morning.

As I told Ellie (a fellow blogger) last week, I will share my experience with breast cancer and surgery with you very soon. One thing I need to say, though, is that people like Jennifer Camp from Gather Ministries and her inspirational piece in Loop and Andrew Roebert with his daily devotionals via Alive to God, carried me daily. It was as if God had a personal message for me every day since the I heard I am to have surgery.  And even before that, when the decision was still to be made….the messages came rolling in….as if God Himself directed me.

Therefore I want to thank them in particular, even if I don’t know them personally. I know that sometimes they may wonder if their scripture or words of inspiration ever reach anyone at all….well, it did reach me and it was MEANT for me.

It is a wonderous feeling to know that, despite all my faults, my sins and my mistakes, God is ever loyal and that He is in charge of my life. I know that, whatever the doctor tells me today, I will be granted the strength to deal with it. I fear nothing, even death itself, because I know that everything that happens will be in His Holy Hands and He will guard and guide me even after I’ve passed on into the light.

Thank you very much to Ellie (https://newcreationsministries.wordpress.com) for nominating me for the above award. It came as a total surprise, seeing that I feel my ramblings, rantings and babblings often go totally unnoticed (and if it is noticed, it is often shown to psychology students as a possible case study! …now, THERE’s a scary thought!).

I do appreciate so much. I am also very grateful that there is now a way I can pay my own respects to the people whose blogs I enjoy, thanking them for bringing light into my life and giving me new and fresh perspectives on everyday ”goings on”.

Someone once said that they hate blogging and bloggers…it gives voice to some really bizarre characters…people that would otherwise NOT dare say anything and, according to this ”friend” these people will to well to keep their mouths shut and their fingers glued to each other with superglue. My reply? You should consider doing it yourself then, fool!! Blogging is such a wonderful platform and SO WHAT if some people have weird ideas and SO WHAT if others think they write nonsense…the point is, they have the courage to give say what they feel and then proceed to throw it out into the world for all to see, without fear of rejection.

I nominated my score of 15 bloggers below…please take the time to read some of their posts. Some of them speak through photographs, some through poems, some talk about life experience and travel, but they all have one thing in common; they INSPIRE. Thank you all, guys and gals, you’ve managed to turn blogging into a wonderful educational tool….not one day goes by that one doesn’t learn something via a fellow blogger and sometimes, just sometimes, reading a certain post at a specific time in your life can change everything for a person (and THAT is extraordinary, especially since, most of the time, said person is on the other side of the world!!!)

So, friends, continue, persevere, conquer and KEEP ON SWIMMING….ocean Internet is vast and I guarantee that you will touch millions of lives as you blog [splash] along.

Now….according to the rules I have to tell you people 7 things you didn’t know about me, so here goes!

  1. I’m a typical Pisces….with my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds; always dreaming, always a little weird, always distracted by the ”what if”s” and the ”why not’s” in life.
  2. I have OCD….irritatingly so. I’m trying very hard NOT to be so obsessive, but I simply fail every time.
  3. I LOVE talking….endlessly. People are afraid of visiting my house, because I can keep them occupied for hours at a time. Maybe that is why blogging is just the thing for me…people cannot tell me to shut up!!!
  4. I am a loner…a little more like a hermit, in fact. I don’t care if I never see people. I enjoy my own company and can entertain myself for days. Some people may think I’m hiding from the world and they may be right, but I’ve never felt the need to be in company (I do enjoy it, though – see the talking thing above – but I don’t particularly NEED it).
  5. Books are a passion and I’m the ”constant reader” some writers go on and on about. Really…I read four to six books at a time and will finish them all within 2 weeks. I’ve done this since I was 3 years old. If my house should ever burn down, well, woe to my family, because I’ll grab my [many] stacks of books and dash for the closest exit.
  6. I am a total horror fanatic….books, movies…I do not scare easily.
  7. Now for the biggy [and perhaps the most secret or weird fact of all]….I can see (hahaha…no this is NOT The 6th Sense) dead people and read auras. They don’t scare me at all, I find them interesting. It is the shadow people that disturb me, though!

And here (trumpets please) by selection of blogs that are, in my humble opinion, more than worthy of this nomination:
