One day you’ll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember….how true….this is something few people understand. Once you’ve faced the possibility of your own demise, well friends, it becomes clearer…we have one life, now, live it to the full.

Over the past few months I’ve faced my own demons, my own death yet again (and beat it…again), but not without a few lessons learned in the process. In August I was back in hospital for a follow-up procedure after my cancer diagnosis last year and suddenly I just thought, what if I don’t wake up? I actually considered writing a letter to each of my loved ones just in case I don’t make it. It dawned on me then, why write a note while I can still speak? It’s quite silly actually, don’t you think…we are alive, we are here, sharing our lives with loved ones, friends, family, colleagues….why don’t we just speak up and tell them whatever we want to while we are still able.

How many times in life do we pass on the opportunity to tell someone we love them, that we care….sometimes we feel it is not the right time. Let me tell you something, the time is ALWAYS right to share a kind word with someone. We live in world filled with rude, ignorant people who are just intent on building their own selfish empires, saying something nice to another person will definitely ALWAYS be welcome. …and you shouldn’t wait….for tomorrow may not come at all.

Do not allow yourself to live another second without telling a loved one you care, without being kind to a total stranger…do not die with things left unsaid. There are so many things I wish I’ve said to the people who’ve passed on and I’m sure many people in the world share this feeling. There are also many things I wish I DIDN’T say to others. Life is so short, actually, and every day now I’m so very aware of how people around me are wasting their time with unnecessary things. It hurts me to know that some of those people will never SEE their mistake, but unfortunately some people are simply born ‘blind’ and one can’t change their personalities; this is a very hard thing, but those of us in the know should learn to accept this. Just don’t be horrid to them in return…who knows, miracles may still happen.

You see, we are all so busy surviving our lives, that we are forgetting to live and then, sadly, we leave…and its done, its over. Friends, if there is ONE thing I can teach you, with all humility, I beg you…please LIVE, LOVE and SAY IT OUT LOUD NOW. You never know when your time will be up or when the final bell will ring for another person, so be careful what you say, do or think….lest you be left with guilt and regret. Always be considerate and kind to one another…it is the least we can do in a life filled with hatred, sorrow and jealousy. Do not judge one another….you don’t understand another’s life OR his/her situation and motivation. We are all different people, but we are all PEOPLE living, sharing this world. Do not wait for someone else to bring joy in the world…YOU BE THE JOY IN THE WORLD!!!

……..for your own sake, be kind, be generous, be open-minded, non-judgmental, accepting, friendly…..it will cost you nothing and may mean the world to someone else.

He was lead like a lamb to the slaughter and did not complain; despite His innocence He died an unspeakable death and was buried among the sinful rich.

This was done so that you and I need not die in sin.

He became our mediator and God forgave our transgressions.

Will you turn your eyes upon Him today and allow Him to lead you back to your Father in heaven? The choice is yours – salvation or judgment. What will it be?
